The Magic School Bus is a series of children's books about science written by author Joanna Cole. They feature the antics of Ms. Frizzle, an elementary school teacher, and her class, who board a magical school bus which takes them on field trips to impossible locations such as the solar system, clouds, the past, and the human body. The books are written in the first person from the point of view of an unnamed student in "the Friz's" class. The class pet, Liz, a lizard, accompanied the class on their field trips.
The books were later adapted into a cartoon series that was played very often at my elementary school! I LOVED the human body episode! And now I'm a nurse....
The index and pinky are following the crazy pattern of Ms. Fizzle's dress that was ever changing.
Close up of the specifics:
The tail end of the Magic School Bus and it's jets soaring through space.
Liz, the class pet lizard that went with them everywhere.
Ms. Fizzle with her crazy orange hair. Yep, she was a ginger!
Tutorial:
I started with China Glaze Skyscraper because it already looks a bit like a galaxy...
Then I randomly sponged on bits of China Glaze Dorothy Who? because I wanted to add some more dimension to the blue.
White acrylic paint and 2 paintbrushes. One is tiny, short, and fat. The other is a tiny skinny striper brush.
Oh, and I realized I wanted to do a face on the ring nail, so I changed the base polish to a nude.
Most of these colors were added using acrylic paint, the only polish I used on this step was the green for Liz. It was Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Green with Envy.
All more acrylic paint colors...
More acrylic paint....
Finish them all with topcoat!
